- Blow out cylinder valves before attaching regulators.
- Back off adjusting screws on regulators before opening cylinder valves.
- Stand to side of regulator and open cylinder valve slowly.
- Purge the oxygen and fuel gas lines separately before lighting torch.
- Adjust regulators to normal operating pressures and check for leaks with a leak test solution.
- During cutting a normal range is 3-5 PSI acetylene and 25-30 PSI oxygen, but will vary on thickness of material to be cut.
- Light the acetylene before opening the oxygen valve on the torch.
- Turn the valve slowly until the smoke subsides and flames jumps away from tip slightly.
- Slowly open the oxygen valve until a brilliant neutral flame is reached.
- To shut off the torch, turn off the oxygen valve on the torch first. Then acetylene.
- Close the cylinder valves, drain t - For full operating instructions, please refer to the operators manual.
