1. Turn on unit and set the sensitivity to half full.
2. Walk forward at a moderate pace holding the locator at a 30-45 degree angle to the ground. Move the locator in a zig-zag pattern.
3. When searching for deep objects move at a slow pace.
4. When the target is generally located (due to an increase in the pitch) hold the locator vertically and adjust the sensitivity as required.
5. To pinpoint the target use and "x" pattern to pinpoint continuing to hold the locator vertically.

- You may have a bad speaker, low batteries or a circuit problem. Replace the batteries and if the problem persists have the unit repaired.
- The unit is always at a high pitch:
- There may be a moisture problem. If you see water on the battery pack remove
