Base Plate

- Used when you are working on any level surface to provide the frames with a solid footing.
- This solid footing prevents the scaffolding of sinking into asphalt or soil ground surfaces.
- Insert Base Plates into frames before you begin setting up your scaffolding tower, to avoid heavy lifting.
- Be sure each Base Plate is secured with the use of a scaffold safety pin (AKA Pigtail).
- Make sure all the components you are going to use are in good condition, do not use any damaged, bent or broken pieces.
- Make sure your scaffolding tower is level.
- Wear gloves, hard hat and safety boots when erecting the scaffolding.
- 6" hot dipped galvanized square plate.
- With four holes in plate for securing scaffold to a surface.
- Have at least two people to set up the scaffolding.
- When starting your scaffolding base be sure it is 100% level.
- Insert base plates into bottom of frames before you begin setting up your scaffolding tower.
- Insert scaffold pin into Base Plate securing it to the frame.
- For full operating instructions, please refer to the operators manual.
- If the components do not connect, check for possible defects such as dirt, bends, weak welds, crushed ends etc.
- If you cannot insert the scaffolding pin (AKA pigtail) make sure the holes on the frames are even with the holes in the Base Plate.
