Stairway Section, 7′

Find a Store
- Used for easier access in climbing the scaffolding tower and carrying materials to the top.
- Be sure all parts of the stairway are secured firmly to the inside of the scaffolding tower.
- Make sure all the components you are going to use are in good condition, do not use any damaged, bent or broken pieces.
- Place caution tape around the area which you will be erecting the scaffolding to keep people away from the area.
- Make sure your scaffolding tower is level otherwise stairway components will not fit into place.
- When erecting scaffolding you must be tied in at all times or have a guard rail set around you.
- Wear gloves, hard hat and safety boots when erecting the scaffolding.
- All parts hot dipped galvanized.
- One stairway platform with expanded metal gratings.
- One stairway used with 5' wide scaffold with frames spaced at 7' centers.
- One handrail feature one piece tubular steel construction.
- Perforated steel non-skid steps welded to channel sections give quick access to work areas.
- Have at least two people to set up the scaffolding.
- When starting your scaffolding base be sure it is 100% level.
- After completely setting up your scaffolding tower then you begin installing the stairway.
- Insert the stairway platform onto the top scaffold frame rungs of the first section inside the tower.
- Then hook the first stairway section of actual stairs onto the bottom frame rung inside the scaffold tower diagonally to the stairway platform.
- The handrail is then connected with bolt clamps provided to the inner side of the stairway.
- For full operating instructions, please refer to the operators manual.
- If you can not connect other components to the frames because they do not fit, be sure the scaffold tower is level and square.
- If the components do not connect, check for possible defects such as bends, weak welds, dirt, crushed ends etc.
- If tower is not sturdy add outriggers/stabilizer's for additional support or use a larger sized frame, be sure you meet the 3 to 1 rule.
