Designed to meet industry, business and government requirements, Standard level first aid is a modular course for those who require comprehensive first aid training. This course will have participants feel comfortable enough to be able to take control of an emergency situation until control can be passed to emergency services personnel. Each participant will be required to pass a 30 question multiple-choice test and practical evaluations will be ongoing throughout the course
This course is approved federally by Human Resources Skills & Development Canada (HRSDC) and provincially by each applicable WSIB/WCB.
Intended For: The course is designed for anyone interested in helping in emergency situations.
Course Content: 911/EMS system, legalities, scene management, various emergency situations, rescue carries, heart/ angina/stroke and airway/breathing/ circulation
